Alex is married to the actress Jennifer Sky, they tied the knot on July 25, 2004 on the beach in Florida.
Family: the horror Movie Director Charles Band is Alex’s father, stepmom is Debbie Dion, three of the movies he directed “Puppetmaster 2″, “Remote” and “Dr. Mordrid” gave Alex the chance to try out his acting skills as a child. The family own a castle in a small town called Giove in Umbria. It’s featured in a few of his father’s films like Castle Freak and The Pit and The Pendulum, this is probably why Alex loves pasta and says that his dad makes the best “penne arrabiata” ever!!
Meda is his mum and she lives in Germany with his 3 younger brothers. The song “Could it be any harder” was written about her and the pain Alex felt when she left him at the age of 7.
Harlan and Zalman are his brothers who also live in LA and he has a sister Taryn, she is in partnership with Alex, Jennifer and Jens sister Katie Wacha with a clothing line called “Vanitas of California”, It is in the beginning stages at the moment and only features women’s designs but they hope to add a men’s line later on, Taryn is married to Kurt Iswarienko and he is a photographer.

FROM SCHOOL TO “THE CALLING”:-
Alex plays a Takemine Acoustic and a Fender Electric, he Started Playing guitar and writing music at the age of 8.
At the age of 15 he dropped out of High School, at the same time he was signed to RCA, later on he earned his diploma through home schooling.
Alex grew up on Camino Palmero, a street in LA, this is where he met Aaron, (he dated Alex’s sister Taryn).
His first band with best friend Jethro was called “Maybe Solitude”, and his first band with Aaron was “Generation Gap” then “Next Door” and most famously “The Calling”.
Alex and Aaron performed WYWG in the film Coyote Ugly, and Alex also had a small part in an independent film called “Fish Without a Bicycle” with Jennifer Sky. He also wrote (along with his first guitar teacher and family friend, Fuzzbee Morse) and performed a song for the movie called “Take Hold of Me”.
“Our Lives” was played at the closing ceremony for the summer olympics 2004.
ALEX FUN FACTS:-
He loves cars and at the momment he drives a new 2007 Black Range Rover, Red Mini Cooper and BMWX5, in the past he has owned a 2006 Red Ferrari F430, Black Lamborghini and Red Ferrari Modena. Alex also loves motorbikes and he used to ride a Red Ducati 998 and Red Ducati Monster, Jen worried about him on these so now he has none and flies helicopters instead!!!
After 8 months of training, Alex received his Helicopter Pilot’s License. He was required to do 50 hours of flight training with an instructor, 10 hours of solo flight time, an impossibly hard written test and 10 more hours of ground school!
He loves his two cats - Parigi (whose nickname is Tripodige) has 3 legs since being attacked by a pit bull and Six (cos he has 6 toes), he mentions them on his album covers and in the tour diaries, he complains about their smelly breath!!!
Favorite bands are U2, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Radiohead and Ours, one of his fav songs is “With or Without you” by U2
A Kokopelli is tattooed on his left wrist, he had it done when he was 14 and it was to become “The Calling”s symbol.
He loves to eat Korean BarBQ, French Crepes, Popeyes Chicken and Sushi. His favourite cold drink is “Arnold Palmer”, which is iced tea and lemonade, while is fav hot is Vanilla Latte.
Alex loves to play golf and he also enjoys fishing in the sea.
When he is at home in Florida he likes to walk along the beach collecting interesting shells and sea-glass, Alex also has another home in California.
